Mama, Papa?

Mama, to where has Papa gone?

Where is the man from whom I was born?

My heart yearns - just for his call,

My heart-eyes cry for his talk.

On the shores, now he walks

With the gods, he has his chores

Upon their doors; he fires his knocks,

Afraid - knowing with them now he remains.

Oh! what a pain, forever in my heart remains.

But least shall I cry

For comes a day every man shall die

And for my Papa it is BUT his time,

And to his soul it is;

YES A CRIME ! adu-mensah #akwesi_adu
